Learning Reiki

I’m honored to be included in a distinguished lineage of master/teachers stemming from Reiki’s founder Dr. Mikao Usui to his first student, Dr. Chujiro Hayashi, who established his own clinic and refined the healing method. Then to the first westerner to achieve master/teacher status, Madame Hawayo Takata, a Japanese-American woman living in Hawaii, who also established her own healing clinic and practice. She then taught the first European-American, Virginia Samdhal of Illinois and the lineage continues from there to my teacher, Christopher Eagle. In order to preserve the teachings and ancient healing methods of Dr. Usui, special care is taken to ensure the training and mastery of Reiki is done in a very detailed, specific way, so it would continue to be performed with the technical expertise just as Dr. Usui had developed and performed Reiki as the lineage continues to grow.

Completing the master level of Reiki instruction means that I can teach as well as practice in the Usui Reiki Ryoho method. I have found that people learn Reiki for a few reasons including becoming a public healer or to work on the personal healing of their family and themselves. Learning Reiki is a hands-on process—it cannot be learned online or over a Zoom class since the attunements involve direct touch for the best possible outcome.

For each level, students receive 4 attunements over 2 days of instruction as well as learn each level’s associated symbols, their meaning, and application. Instruction also includes discussion, guidance, and practice sessions. Students will receive a certificate after completion of each level.

Instruction can be conducted both individually and in groups and I’m happy to travel to conduct trainings.

Reiki instruction consists of 4 levels…

Level 1: Power Symbol
Level 2: Mental/Spiritual & Distance Symbols
Level 3: Advanced Training
(a prerequisite to Master/Teacher instruction)
Level 4: Master/Teacher
(Master symbol and attunements instruction)

LEVELS 1 AND 2 TRAINING
Levels 1 and 2 can be completed within a nearer timeline to each other. It is possible to comprehensively practice being certified in both levels 1 and 2. It is suggested that levels 2,  3, and 4 should have at least 3 months between each. This is important for the energy to integrate within the student’s body and energy field as well as to gain practice experience. It is not necessary to complete all 4 levels of Reiki instruction to be a practitioner, although a student must complete all four levels in order to teach.

COST
Level 1 and 2
: $600 per each level.

LEVELS 3 AND 4: REIKI MASTER/TEACHER TRAINING
Becoming a Reiki Master was once considered an honorable title. A student didn’t just decide that he/she wanted to be a master/teacher, the student was chosen. It is unclear exactly what the criteria was at that time, which determined who was deemed qualified or chosen. Part of that was the cost, which was upwards of $10k to be initiated as a master/teacher. If a student was willing and able to pay that amount, then it was clear that they were dedicated. But, more importantly, I have to believe criteria was about showing a demonstrated respect for the energy, honoring the teachings and legacy of reiki, and an ongoing dedication to practice, as well as further education and research on one’s own.

Although I do not charge $10k for master/teacher training, I do believe in the criteria that determines that respect for the energy, dedication to practice, and honoring the teachings and legacy for a student to be initiated. If you would like to discuss further, please contact me.

Master/teacher training consists of receiving 4 attunements for each level and learning the associated symbols and meaning. Students learn how to administer the attunements for initiating a trainee. Instruction also includes discussion, guidance, and practice sessions.

COST
Level 3 and 4 (Master Training): $2,500 for complete instruction.
Students must have completed Levels 1 and 2 prior to Levels 3 and 4 instruction, and have shown that they have practiced for a minimum period of 3 months after completion of Level 2. It is also suggested that there should be a minimum period of 3 months between Levels 3 and 4. This is important for the energy to integrate within the student’s body and energy field, as well as to gain practice experience.

“I recently completed Reiki Level 1 & 2 with Scott and was absolutely blown away by the healing force Scott was able to help me tap into. In Reiki, the energy used for healing is passed on from teacher to student through a series of “attunements,” or ritualistic channeling where the Reiki Master opens the connection of the abundant healing energy of Reiki, thus attuning the student into the channel as well. I’m honored to be attuned by Scott as he lives by the Reiki energy daily while also being incredibly knowledgeable about a wide range of related topics, such as how to properly conduct a healing session with a client, techniques and Reiki symbols and their uses, and an extended knowledge of quantum physics, philosophy, spirituality, and the history of Reiki. Scott’s Reiki Lineage has been passed down from Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Modern Method of Reiki.

After learning Reiki with Scott, I can’t stress enough that it is invaluable to be in the presence of a master like Scott in order to properly receive the attunements. As the attunements are small hands-on rituals conducted through touch, it’s clear that this is an education that cannot be received through an online course.

Please, if you are interested in learning Reiki, or simply would like to receive a healing, I cannot recommend Scott enough.”
